Maraey, in Maricá some 45 km from Rio, is a resort destination on 8.5 km of beach and 12 km of lagoon shore, with 81% of its land preserved as restinga. Three hotels by Marriott are planned, each with branded residences: South America’s first Ritz-Carlton Reserve, a JW Marriott beside the golf course, and an Autograph Collection hotel themed on Rock in Rio.
